Introduction

This Passenger Travel Insurance Policy (“Policy”) is designed to provide coverage to passengers of SRMPR Railways during their journey. The policy aims to offer financial protection and assistance in the event of unexpected incidents during travel.

Insured Parties

This policy covers individuals who have purchased a valid train ticket from SRMPR Railways and are listed as passengers on that ticket.

Coverage Scope

The Passenger Travel Insurance Policy provides coverage for the following events:

  1. Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D):

In the unfortunate event of accidental death or dismemberment during the journey, compensation will be provided to the insured or their beneficiaries.

  1. Medical Expenses:

Coverage for necessary medical expenses incurred due to an accident or illness during the journey.

  1. Baggage and Personal Belongings:

Compensation for loss, theft, or damage to the insured’s baggage and personal belongings during the journey.

  1. Emergency Evacuation:

Coverage for the cost of emergency evacuation in case of a medical emergency during the journey.

Exclusions

This policy does not cover certain events or conditions, including but not limited to pre-existing medical conditions, intentional self-inflicted injuries, and acts of war.

Policy Duration

The coverage under this policy is effective from the departure of the insured’s train until their arrival at the final destination.

Premium Payment

Premiums for the Passenger Travel Insurance Policy are automatically included in the total ticket fare. Passengers are not required to make a separate premium payment.

Claims Procedure

In the event of a covered incident, the insured or their beneficiaries must notify the insurer as soon as possible. The claims process will require submission of relevant documentation and information.
